The Creating IT Futures Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CompTIA, recently donated $5,000 to NPower and Marathon was proud to help deliver the good news.
“This $5,000 grant will enable 25 new NPower Technology Service Corps students to obtain an industry-recognized certification that will help them to secure a position in the technology field,” said Patrick Cohen, Director of Technology Service Corps at NPower. Scott Wilson, Marathon’s Co-founder and CEO, is a member CompTIA’s Partner Advisory Council and nominated NPower as a possible Creating IT Futures grant recipient. The Council reviewed all of the suggested recipients and chose NPower as one of the final selections.
“Our internship program with NPower has been a big success, and we were happy to help provide NPower with some additional resources from our friends CompTIA,” said Wilson.
Dennis Amaral, Marathon’s Director of Sales, had fun presenting a classic oversized check to commemorate the gift at NPower’s most recent graduation ceremony.
